Afdis brings cheer to Shamva

The event attracted hundreds of local residents and Chateau Brandy consumers

LOCAL alcoholic beverages manufacturer, African Distillers Limited (Afdis), on Saturday brought smiles and celebration to Wadzanai in Shamva thanks to its grand finale draw of Chateau Sow and Reap promotion.

The event attracted hundreds of local residents and Chateau Brandy consumers, all eager to witness the culmination of the months-long campaign aimed at recognising customer loyalty while empowering communities with practical tools for everyday use.

Lucky winners walked away with a wide range of prizes designed to enhance productivity and improve livelihood

These included motorbikes to ease transport challenges, bicycles for daily commuting, wheelbarrows and shovels for agricultural and construction work, as well as hosepipes to support gardening and small-scale farming.

Afdis head of trade, Arthur Kamusoko, said the promotion was part of the company’s broader commitment to giving back to the communities that support its brands.

“This initiative is specifically designed to give back to the communities that support us,” Kamusoko said.

“Through the Sow and Reap promotion, we are not just giving away prizes; we are providing our customers with tools that can help them grow and sustain their own ventures.

It is our way of saying thank you to the people of Shamva and beyond.”

The Sow and Reap promotion has been running in various parts of the country, but the Wadzanai grand finale stood out as a major highlight, reflecting Afdis’ strong presence and connection with communities across Zimbabwe.

Winners expressed gratitude to the company, noting that the prizes would significantly reduce transport costs and labour demands, particularly in farming and small business activities.
