WHAWHA Young Offenders Correctional Services was on  December 1 host to Teen Rescue Mission Good Samaritans who brought an early Christmas to 280 young offenders.

The initiative which is the brainchild of Abraham Matuka  – the Teen Rescue Mission Founder  has gained respect and appreciation among the inmates and prison authorities for the noble objectives of remembering the welfare and rehabilitation of the young offenders.

The inmates where treated to high energy music and meals.  Authorities praised Teen Rescue Mission for their continual efforts to bring joy to the inmates. They called upon corporates to support the Teen Rescue Mission in their humanitarian objectives which are compassionate, sympathetic and friendly to prisoners.

Teen Rescue Mission’s objectives and activities are expected to prepared inmates for future eventual reintegration.

Rudolf Chikwizo, the administrator, and Gwindi who was major sponsor with Natasha and Makwavarara together with a delegation of teens from home took part in celebrating Christmas with the young offenders.

Chikwizo promised to roll more programs in 2020 that shall widen and strengthen our relationship and assistance to the institution.
The teenagers who visited the facility learnt that crime does not pay and were willing to spread the awareness campaign against crime, drugs and sexual abuse.
