Trade surplus widens in July

ZIMBABWE’S goods trade sur­plus grew in July, according to figures released by the Zimba­bwe National Statistics Agency (ZimStat). The agency reported a sur­plus of US$320,6 million for the month, up from US$239,1 million in June, a 34,1 percent month-on-month increase. The agency attributed the widening surplus to two simulta­neous trends. Exports rose, while imports fell.…
