Lithium production up 73 percent

Zimbabwe has Africa's largest lithium reserves and is a top global producer.

Lithium production in the country increased by 73,9 percent to 623.356mt in the second quarter of 2025, the Zimbabwe Statistics Agency (ZimStat) latest data has revealed.In its second quarter of 2025 Index of Mineral Production, ZimStat highlighted that the increase in production is from a first quarter of 2025 production of 358,468 mt.“Lithium production index…
