Hwange Units 1-6 set for revival

Units 1 to 6, commissioned in 1984, formed the core of Zimbabwe’s power system before the expansion of Units 7 and 8.

ELECTRICITY output at Hwange Thermal Power Station’s oldest units, one to six, is projected to more than double following a comprehensive rehabilitation programme.
