Fidelity profit doubles on expansion

FIDELITY Life Assurance of Zimbabwe (FLA) is considering bulk fuel imports for its funeral assurance operations as es­calating fuel costs, partly driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, put pressure on the sector.

FIDELITY Life Assurance’s profit for the three months to March 31, 2026, reached US$2,95 million from US$1,38 million in the comparable period last year, driven by higher insurance contract revenue, investment income and improved cost management.
