The company is the leading independent data, voice and IP provider in eastern, central and southern Africa. It supplies fibre optic, satellite and international carrier services to Africa’s largest mobile network operators, ISPs and businesses of all sizes. It also provides payment solutions to financial institutions and retailers, as well as award winning data storage and communication solutions to businesses across Africa and beyond.
Speaking after receiving the award, Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe Managing Director Wellington Makamure said: “Of course we are both honoured and delighted to receive this award from the ZNCC. I would like to congratulate our team across Zimbabwe who work so hard to provide our customers with a superfast and highly reliable broadband service.”
These awards are the most prominent and prestigious business awards in Zimbabwe and regonise home-grown non-manufacturing companies which are dynamic, innovative and successful.
Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe was named as the ICT Company of the year with the second runner-up award going to sister company ZOL, a retail ISP. Southern Region Technical Company (SRTC), a customer of Liquid Telecom’s, was named as first runner up in this category.
