Dawn of a new era for Econet as it refreshes its brand
……Launches “Look up Zimbabwe, the future is bright” campaign
ECONET Wireless Zimbabwe on Friday announced the rebranding of its logo as it solidifies its position as the largest mobile operator in the country by reconnecting with its customers through revamped service offerings, more value and stronger customer centric focus. The refreshed logo comes with a new campaign of hope titled, “Look Up Zimbabwe, the Future is bright”. The company’s payoff line “Inspired To Change Your World” remains unchanged.
Douglas Mboweni, Chief Executive of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe said, “Inspiration is one of our key differentiators. From day one, we have always been committed to “Inspired to Change Your World”. Whilst we have remained resilient over the past 12 years with over $1billion investment resulting in an unprecedented growth of the business, we have at the same time remained cognisant of the challenges we face which include increased competition and challenging operating environment.”
“The new era we enter today goes beyond the new logo itself but will result in a revamped and rejuvenated Econet as we offer our customers more than just a service but a lifestyle enhancement. Under our campaign, “Look Up Zimbabwe, the Future is bright”, we are giving Zimbabweans more value going into the future. What we are saying is that our inspiration most importantly comes from above. Key areas of our promise include improvement to the network quality, improved billing issues, more value for money and a more customer centric culture,” he said.
“With innovations like Ownai, EcoCash, Connected Health, Ruzivo just to mention a few, we will forever be grateful for the support we receive from our customers. Over the next few months we shall be rolling out more value added services for our valued customers as we continue investing in Research and Development to keep up with the fast paced technological environment,” he added.
