CHELSEA head coach Antonio Conte says he aims to create sustainable success at Stamford Bridge after an incredible debut season in London.

After leaving his job as Italy head coach at the end of Euro 2016, Conte took over a squad that finished 10th in the Premier League and low on confidence.

But in his first season in England his brought his famed 3-4-2-1 formation to the Blues and romped towards the Premier League title.

Now, with a new deal possibly on the horizon, the former Juventus boss wants to relocate his family and set out a long-term plan with the newly crowned champions, in order to create stability for owner Roman Abramovich.

“My objective is to lay the foundations so Chelsea can continue to win,” he told La Repubblica newspaper.

“This is already a big club, but it’s inconsistent. They won the Champions League, then went out in the first round. They won the Premier League and then finished 10th. Chelsea need to find stability at the top.”

The 47-year-old admitted this season without his wife and daughter had been challenging.

“It’s not all happiness and light. The arrival was, but the journey wasn’t.

“With my wife Elisabetta in January we decided that Vittoria would finish school in Turin, even if she was already registered to start in London.

“However, if I am to stay, then they will come and stay with me. It will be a great opportunity for my daughter to live in a foreign country. I’ll tell you one thing for sure, I won’t have another year on my own.” –kickoff.com
