Tax seminar on the cards
TAX consultancy, Tax Matrix and education development consultancy, Africa Education Services (AES) will be hosting a tax and business interface week to discuss strategies that will assist in the elimination of disruption to business as a result of tax and other operational risks.
The seminar, which will be held at the Rainbow Towers from October 9-13 , is tailored on the basis of sessions targeted at one or two sectors per day over the duration of the week long programme.
Speaking at a press event held at the Tax Matrix offices in Milton Park to announce the seminar, AES Chief executive Davison Gomo said tax affected everyone in society directly or indirectly.
“We are principally hosting a forum that will allow business people to look at issues of concern to them and possibly to review some of the policies that impact them negatively,” said Gomo.
“Each Seminar session will be led by highly qualified and experienced resource persons in order to guarantee the delivery of high value knowledge and information,” reads a statement from the organizers of the seminar.
Some of the resource persons expected to make presentations at the seminar include Marvellous Tapera of Tax Matrix, AES CEO Davison Gomo, ZNCC CEO Christopher Mugaga, CZI President Sifelani Jabangwe and United Refineries CEO Busisa Moyo. The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) and ministry of Finance and Economic Development will also be represented at the seminar. ZIMRA chairperson, Willia Bonyongwe will be the guest of honour.
