52.3% Of Zimbabweans Say Social Media Is Their Source Of News

If you were wondering just how it is that fake news spreads so much in Zimbabwe, wonder no more. The latest poll by Voices of Zimbabwe has revealed that most Zimbabweans get their news from WhatsApp.

The poll asked people where they get information about events in the country from. A hefty 42.8% said they get it from WhatsApp, more than the 40.5% who said they get it from local newspapers and news websites. Twitter came in third at 7.1%.
