BARCELONA superstar Andres Iniesta has revealed he will decide “next week” whether to take his footballing career to China or Japan, with a huge payday awaiting the midfielder either way.

The Spain international will this weekend bring down the curtain on a glittering career in Catalonia, where he started out as a youth player with Barca in 2001 before going on to help the team to nine LaLiga crowns and four UEFA Champions League titles, amongst his many other pieces of club and individual silverware.

Sunday will mark Iniesta’s final appearance for Barca when they host Real Sociedad in the last game of the Spanish top-flight season, after which the playmaker will decide on a lucrative move to one of Asia’s mega-rich top-tier clubs.

“There are two scenarios, China or Japan, and each has its advantages,” he told Spanish radio Onda Cero overnight Monday.

“There are some minor details to be sorted out, we’re weighing everything up and will pick which one we decide is the best option.”

The Spanish midfielder added: “Next week, when everything is over, we’ll decide. Then, there’s the World Cup, I want to get this resolved so that I can focus.
