New Kaizer Chiefs attacker Khama Billiat says it was tough facing Mamelodi Sundowns
Kaizer Chiefs attacker Khama Billiat says his teammates gave him courage and support ahead of his reunion with Mamelodi Sundowns today.
Sundowns claimed the inaugural Shell Hilux Cup title after securing a 2-1 win over the AmaKhosi at the FNB Stadium.
Coming up against his former club for the first time since signing for the Amakhosi, the Zimbabwean admits it was tough but is optimistic his new team can do wonders this term despite its latest setback.
“I must say it’s always tough, but it makes a player better and better. I know they know me and I know them and you have to come up with something new so your game can improve every time,” Billiat told SABC after the game.
“So I think my teammates give me courage and support.
“They knew it was going to be tough, but I’m looking forward to the great family I have and the support here at this team. I’m sure we can achieve something.” – kickoff.com
