Diana Ross felt ‘violated’ by airport security
Singer Diana Ross has said she felt “violated” after being touched between her legs by an airport screener in New Orleans.
The Motown star said her experience going through security at the airport made her want to cry and that it left her “not feeling good right now”.
Ross had performed at the Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans, where she said she was “treated like royalty” but at the airport she claimed she was “treated like s***” following her interaction with a transportation security administration (TSA) worker.
“Its not what was done but how, I am feeling violated – I still feel her hands between my legs, front and back (saying to me it her job,) WOW!!really mixed emotions I always like to see the good things but not feeling good right now [sic],” she tweeted.
TSA spokesman Mark Howell said in a statement to The Associated Press that the agency is investigating.
He said its initial video review indicates all protocols were followed and the agency is committed to treating all travellers with respect and courtesy.
A few hours after her initial tweets, Ross said she was “feeling better” and shared a video of herself performing to a large crowd. -bbc.com
