Ed Sheeran Heinz tattoo ketchup to be auctioned at Christie’s
Fans of Ed Sheeran, tattoos and tomato ketchup, you’re in for a treat.
The singer and self-proclaimed number one fan of Heinz has collaborated with the company to release a limited edition bottle of his favourite sauce.
Featuring a design that pays tribute to the Heinz ketchup inking on his tattoo sleeve, and signed by the man himself, only 150 are available across the world.
The first three bottles of Ed Sheeran X Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Tattoo Edition will be auctioned at Christie’s in London on Thursday. Just 100 tickets were made available, and the event is already sold out.
But don’t worry, as fans will also be in with a chance of getting their hands on one by entering an online prize draw, with the project raising funds for the Rise Against Hunger and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
“There’s only 150 in the world and we’re raising money for @eachhospices and @riseagainsthunger, pretty cool eh?” Sheeran wrote on his Instagram page.
Rise Against Hunger, which provides food and aid to vulnerable communities, shared Sheeran’s post and said: “We could not be more excited and grateful to be part of this campaign.”
A spokesperson for EACH, for which Sheeran is an ambassador, said on social media that the charity was “delighted to announce that we will be benefiting from the collaboration”.
This isn’t the first time Sheeran has collaborated with Heinz, having launched his very on “Edchup” in June.
When he’s not covering his meals with tomato sauce, Sheeran is making music – his latest album, No 6 Collaborations Project, has been at the top of the album chart in the UK for four weeks.
The singer is getting ready for his latest shows in the UK, the final leg of his Divide world tour, with gigs in Leeds and Ipswich planned in August.
The tour, which started in March 2017, became the highest grossing of all time earlier in August. – skynews.co.uk
