A$AP Rocky’s lawyer ‘shot in head and chest’ in Stockholm

A$AP Rocky’s Swedish lawyer has reportedly been shot in the head and chest at his apartment block in central Stockholm.

Henrik Olsson Lilja was reportedly shot in the head and chest

Henrik Olsson Lilja represented the US rapper in his recent assault case after he was arrested in the Swedish capital over a street brawl in June.

The Swedish Bar Association confirmed to CBS News that Mr Lilja was the victim of the shooting.

Several shots were fired, according to Swedish newspaper Expressen, and a person has been arrested in connection with the attack, which is being investigated as an attempted murder.

The suspect in custody is a woman, also a lawyer, but the attacker who subsequently fled the scene has been identified as a man, the news outlet reported.

Police told the paper it was an isolated incident “with no known connection to recent violent crimes”.

The lawyer had just left his flat at around 9am on Friday when he was attacked.

A witness told Expressen they saw him wrestling with a person on a staircase.

A neighbour heard gunshots and opened their front door and found the lawyer, who called the police.

He was taken to hospital and is said to be in a serious, but stable condition.

One witness told Expressen: “It was very bloody.

“He was bleeding on his face but he could talk. He told police ‘it hurts’.”

The lawyer represented A$AP Rocky after he was arrested over a brawl in Stockholm on 30 June, and was replaced by Slobodan Jovicic for the trial.

The musician, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was found guilty of assault last month and given a suspended sentence.

He claimed he acted in self-defence and tried to avoid getting into a confrontation with two men, who he said were persistently following his entourage.

The case made international headlines and more than 600,000 fans signed an online #JusticeForRocky petition.

Even the US president got involved, calling for A$AP Rocky to be released after Kanye West, whom Donald Trump has met in the past, asked him to intervene. – skynews.com
