Lovely Zimbabwe Launches Dvd

GOSPEL artist, Abraham Matuka’s star continues to shine with the launch of a Dvd under The Lovely Zimbabwe banner at Crown Plaza, hotel last Friday.

Abraham Matuka – a renowned Zimbabwe gospel artist launched a Dvd under the Lovely Zimbabwe.

The music project which is destined to go global is expected to market Zimbabwe a one of the best tourist attractions in the world. Lovely Zimbabwe is a group of foreign artists singing about the beauty and richness of Zimbabwe which native languages.

The song which talk about the beauty and stability of Zimbabwe has the ability to impact a positive perception to the international audience about the country.

As widely expected the event lived up to the expectation in term of attendance and corporate support. Several companies and organisations including Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA), Pioneer Transport, Allied Timbers, Environmental Management Authority, Actsec Security graced the event.

The artists led by Matuka – the founder of the project said he was grateful to the foreign artists and their countries for agreeing to take part in this project, whose aim was to market Zimbabwe.

“I am grateful and happy about this project. I am confident it would help anyone who wants to sell anything from Zimbabwe and to market the country. We are very thankful the artist and everyone who made this project a success,” he said.

During the event, The Lovely Zimbabwe administrator Rudolf Chikwizo highlighted the major milestone and challenges that the Lovely Zimbabwe went through since it’s formation three years ago to date.

The Lovely Zimbabwe Dvd was unveiled on the screen to the excitement of the audience as they enjoyed the melody and multilingual lyrics by the artists’ performance executed by great scenery and sites in the background that makes Zimbabwe profoundly unique and stunning.

A live presentation by the artists backed by the Zimbabwe Republic Police Band brought the curtains down as the audience were captivated and inspired to dance from the artists’ expert performance.

Matuka said he was taking forward to take this project to other towns such as Victoria Falls, Bulawayo, Masvingo, Hwange as a way to put Zimbabwe tourism on international level.

Ms Hazel who was representing the acting chief executive officer of ZTA Givemore Chidzidzi commended Lovely Zimbabwe for producing a polished Dvd.

ZTA acknowledged the remarkable efforts of Lovely Zimbabwe which is in line with their objectives of rebranding and marketing Zimbabwe as a destination of choice for Tourism.

The Lovely Zimbabwe Dvd is expected to add value to the ongoing efforts to present Zimbabwe’s rich heritage and resort areas to the world with a view to motivate tourists to visit the country.

Speaking at the event, The Zimbabwe Youth in Tourism Director Stewart Mutizwa praised and acknowledged the musical innovation Matuka.

“Let me take this opportunity to thank Abraham Matuka for organising all these artists we are going to see performing today. This shows us that as young as we are we have the potential of coming up with initiative’s which can help market our country in tourism,” he said.

The Lovely Zimbabwe Dvd is expected to add value to the ongoing efforts to present Zimbabwe’s rich heritage.

Mutizwa encouraged Matuka to continue marketing Zimbabwe.

The Guest of Honour was first lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwawhose speech was read by Itai Ndudzo, the board chairman of Allied Timbers and Doves Funeral.

“I am personally delighted to be part of a brilliant event which is showcasing a product with a profound musical global marketing influence given the potential of music to impact on people beyond national and cultural boundaries. It is important that our beautiful country remains the best regional destination of choice for Tourism and investors,” he said.

He praised the patriotic innovation by the Lovely Zimbabwe team.
