Teen rescue mission sends off teens to school in style
TEEN Rescue Mission (TRM) has successfully launched a back to school event for children under the auspice of world reckoned influential figures like United Kingdom based Maureen Mandipadza and Cecelia Lungden of Norway.
A blissful function, assembly of young generation distinguished itself on January 11 the Harare, with the convergence of teens from Harare suburbs and representatives from am Kadoma, Murare, Chegutu and South Africa.
Speaking on the sideline of the event, Mandipaza expressed her joy in coming on board to work with TRM in efforts to enhance the plight of Teens in Zimbabwe.
Mandipaza encouraged children to put God first as they go back to school and to remain focussed.
The event was also graced by the Guest Speaker, Mrs Sharon Spencer, who was accompanied by her three friends Cecelia Lungden of Norway, Laurette Maritz of South Africa, Reeve Nield of Zimbabwe all of whom are professional and international golfers.
They shared the stage in turns to inspire the teens to abstain from vices of evil and embrace Christian values for a successful and fulfilling life of purpose.
Sharon Spencer, is an international singer, a mother, a business woman, a sportsperson and Christian philanthropist.
She encouraged the teens to choose self discipline and focus in their dreams, citing “Life rewards the diligent and focused.”
The event was hosted under the theme, “Impacting Discipline,Focus and Determination in Teens and Youths”.
TRM founder, Abraham Matuka urged well wishers to join the movement, advocating improvement in teens life in the country. “Our appeal goes to all well meaning sponsors, and donors to come on board and be part of a noble vision where funding is transformed into investment in human development , fighting crime, drugs and early sex,” Matuka said.
