New film to hit big screens

Magombedze, better known as Slimaz in the arts and entertainment circles and among his peers, said Think is about a couple who had just gotten married, but all hell breaks loose when the husband, Tonde, played by Ngoni Vere, let’s his eyes stray.
Tonde had finally made a breakthrough in his business; so he bought a new house in the suburbs where he relocated with his wife, Chipo. Life became manageable and very comfortable for the couple until temptation visited their home through a cunning Tara (Shingirai Ziwange).
With Tonde finding new happiness with Tara, he decided to marry her as a second wife leaving Chipo and his mother with no choice, but to go and live at their rural home. After some time, Tonde painfully discovers that his new love was keeping some dark secrets from him and that she was set to destroy him, so he chased her out of his house and begged for Chipo’s forgiveness. After all said and done, Tonde discovered that he was HIV positive and Chipo was not.
“With this movie we wanted to show the consequences of lust, but at the same time we also wanted to bring out some of those things that are sung by musicians such as Marshall Munhumumwe about women to ‘keep up appearances’ despite the fact that  they are now married. These are the things that happen in society and we are just trying to bring that out,” said Slimaz.
He said that they are working on launching the film on DVD on the day of the premiere. He said the DVD would be available two weeks after the premier and that the idea is to make the DVD affordable to all Zimbabweans so they can enjoy it in their homes if they cannot visit the cinemas.
However, the venue of the premiere has not yet been confirmed, but he said it would be somewhere in Harare.
This is the third film Slimaz has worked on: The first was the hilarious Sores of Emmanuel and he was the producer and director of The Long Night, which unfortunately, did not do well.
