All set for Bryan Adams show

Local fans are in for a treat tomorrow when Canadian pop star Bryan Adams performs at the Harare International Conference (HICC) as part of his Bare Bones World Tour concert.Tomorrow’s show is Adams’ maiden performance in the country ahead of a series of other performances in South Africa from January 25 to 31 as part of his world tour.
The musician’s local agent David Davies, said the stage had been set and everything was in order ahead of the high-profile show.
“Don’t miss the chance to see Bryan Adams performing his hits live in an intimate and unplugged performance starting here in Zimbabwe,” he said.
According to Davies, all the 3 475 tickets for the show were sold out within 13 hours of going on sale in November last year.
The event organisers took advantage of Adams’ shows in neighbouring South Africa to apply for the slotting in of Zimbabwe to accommodate the musician for the local audience.
Apart from Adams, foreign artistes have been falling over each other to come to Zimbabwe. In recent years Jamaicans, Tony Rebel, Turbulence, Capelton among others have made appearances in the country in various concerts.
After performing in the country, Adams will then continue with his Africa tour with shows in Johannesburg on January 25 and 26 at the Big Top Arena and Carnival City.
He will then make a stop-over for a show in Cape Town on January 28 at the Grand Arena before taking his act to Port Elizabeth on January 29 at Feather Market. The Way You Make Me Feel singer will conclude his tour on January 31 at the ICC in Durban.
The award-winning musician has for the past three decades revolutionarised music. He has sold over 65 million records, toured six continents and achieved first position status in over 40 countries around the world.
Adams boasts of hits like, Cuts Like A Knife, Summer of ’69, Kids Wanna Rock, Can’t Stop This Thing We’ve Started, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, Open Road and Thought I’d Seen Everything among other hits.
His status as one of the great songwriters of the time has been solidified with a Grammy Award, Juno Awards and an American Music Award.
He has also been nominated for three Academy Awards and five Golden Globes. The musician is currently riding high with Bare Bones a collection of live recordings culled from the accoustic tours.
His outstanding live concerts have established him as one of the world’s best rock singers, performing over 120 concerts a year.
