Nyaradzi Mashayamombe releases an awareness single

The single creates an awareness to the circumstances that surround potential victims of abuse before it occurs

NYARADZO Mashayamombe will tomorrow release her music single titled ‘Cry’, a song that comes after over a year’s break from the studio.

The song which talks about ‘Girl Child Abuse’ features the late Global Mbira Queen, Chiwoniso Maraire who adds a powerful sense of ‘Cry’ to Serve the Child from the Scourge of Rape and abuse.

The song took more than  two years to release as Nyaradzo decided to wait from releasing it deciding to allow the family, friends and the nation to mourn the passing on of Chiwoniso.

The single creates an awareness to the circumstances that surround potential victims of abuse before it occurs and is a wake up call to everyone to watch out and pay attention to their environment to allow children a safe environment to grow up in, free from sexual abuse.
Written by Nyaradzo, The song will be released to Local Radio Stations, Local Press, International Radio Station, as she enjoys a wide global networks through her Global Advocacy for Girl Child, Young Women and Youth Issues.

The song will go on sale on International Online Sales Platforms like CD-Baby and ITunes among many others, this will enable international fans and supporters to purchase the song. Part of Proceeds will go towards the provision of girls’ protection through donating to her non profit organisation TaLI.
The single has been deliberately released on June 30 in commemoration of the African Youth Month whose ‘Day of the African Child’ was commemorated on  June 16 this year. The song comes out at a time when TaLI, Nyaradzo’s non Profit turns 5 and is commemorating the 5years of helping and empowering girls especially in the Midlands Province and the Nation at large, which is a milestone to her work for advocacy for girls’ rights.
With two albums to her name, prior collaborations with music icons such as the Late Cephas Mashakada, Nyarardzo who started her music interests more than 10years ago with her first album called Nekusingaperi and her second Zvakasungwa both gospel albums, continues to use her musical talents to advocate for social justice for the rights of girls, young women, youths and women.
Nyaradzo is also a Globally Recognised Women’s Issues Leader with a special interest in the rights of Girls,Young women and Youths.

She has more than eight years of experience working for the rights of Girls and Young Women, a Two-Timer Junior Chamber International Award Winner’s TOYP 2013 and 2014. She has an immense love for Africa’s Development and is also an Entrepreneur.

Nyaradzo passinately known as ‘Nyari Mashayamombe’,  is a Musician, Gender Activist, Founder and Executive Director of Tag a Life International (TaLI)-a Girl Child Rights organisation.
