MORE than £2,7 million (US4,2 million) was spent on keeping Michael Jackson’s children for just one year.

The Thriller star was £320million in debt when he died in 2009, but left assets valued at £160million.

Now, as lawyers continue to turn around his fortunes, newly-filed court papers show the allowance for Prince, 18, Paris, 16, and Blanket, 13, was £2,75million two years ago.

This included £48,000 fees to the prestigious Buckley School attended by Prince and Paris before the latter dropped out.
Other fees totalling almost £19,000 were paid to a “school for young performers”. The allowance also funded £274,000 in holidays, including a Hawaii trip for all three kids with Debbie Rowe — Prince and Paris’ biological mum.

Around Blanket’s 11th birthday in February 2013, more than £600 was spent at a cake company and a balloon supplier.

A further £290,000 went on the house in Calabasas, California, which is rented at £22,000 a month for Jacko’s kids.

In accordance with the singer’s wishes, the Hayvenhurst home his 85-year-old mum Katherine has lived in for 40 years has been bought by the estate and extensively renovated at more than £380,000.
Other expenditure shown on the report includes £90,000 to charter a private plane “for family and performer” on January 25.

Meanwhile £300,000 went on paying unnamed employees at family properties and £30,000 more on other workers.

Despite the £160million valuation on Jacko’s estate, some estimates say its true worth could reach £1.28billion.
