Tonight with Zororo set for DStv debut
ZIMBABWEAN talk show Tonight with Zororo is headed to DStv and will make it’s debut on the new Zambezi Magic channel in November.
The announcement was made at the Multi Choice Africa Content Showcase in Mauritius.
Zambezi Magic was launched on June 1 this year for viewers in Southern Africa on channel 161. It’s key territories are Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Malawi, Namibia and Swaziland.
On this week’s episode of TWZ, Zororo interview comedian Carl Joshua Ncube. They covered a range of topics from his is attempted suicide, stand against piracy and his latest business venture in Kadoma, where he and his wife Nelsy now run the Kadoma Cottage Inn.
The show also see’s cameos from comedians PO Box and Daniel Jenkins performs City Streets on the Coca-Cola Soundstage.
TWZ is a vibrant, current affairs talk show that tackles various issues from the perspective of the young urbanite. Hosted by media personality Zororo Makamba, the first episode of the season was released online at www.twzshow.com.
Speaking on the decision to go on the web, Makamba said: “The internet is the greatest democracy and this led us to do an independent release online.
“You will be able to stream the show directly on Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms. This will fill a gap and allow Zimbabweans in the diaspora to see what’s happening at home.”
The 25 minute show has three segments; an opening monologue, followed by a one-on-one interview with a person of interest, ending with an acoustic performance on the Coca-Cola Sound Stage.
