AN ENORMOUS 14.77lb baby boy has been born to a mum-of-nine in India, making him the country’s biggest baby.

Firdous Khatun surprisingly welcomed her ninth child with no complications via a smooth natural delivery, despite the newborn’s colossal size.

Doctors from the hospital in Uttar Pradesh, India, have confirmed the titanic tot is the heaviest baby ever born in India, and have called him a “miracle”.
Firdous, who weighs an average 12 stone, gave birth to all her other eight children at home, but was forced to rush to hospital after half an hour with her latest.

Dr Anjana Gupta, who delivered the child, said: “He is a miracle baby. In my 21 years of experience, I had never seen a newborn as big as him.

“We could not believe how, despite his size, he smoothly came out. Though his shoulders got stuck for a few seconds, within three minutes he was in my hands.”
Both mum and son are doing fine, despite the big baby suffering respiratory issues initially.

Firdous has previously given birth to normal-sized eight pound babies, and doctors are baffled by the obesity of her newest.

The littlun is currently being kept in the Child Care Unit at hospital and he is expected to be discharged in around five days. -The Sun.co.uk
