When Kwesé TV finally launches, the Copa Del Rey will be part of a package of sports content that will be available through a TV Set-Top-Box.

CUSTOMERS of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe can watch live games of the Spanish tournament Copa Del Rey for free if they have a smartphone, tablet or computer.
The local operator has “zero rated” the KweséSport.com website, which means customers can watch the full game for free and will not be charged any bandwidth costs whatsoever.
KweseSport is the sports division of the Kwesé TV, a pay TV service that will be launched by Econet Global, the parent company of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, in the new year.
When Kwesé TV finally launches, the Copa Del Rey will be part of a package of sports content that will be available through a TV Set-Top-Box. Customers can also watch live games using their smartphones, tablets or computers. Kwesé TV will also offer thousands of hours of exclusive entertainment including original series and movies.
Announcing the new service, Econet founder Strive Masiyiwa said that Kwesé TV will focus on “value for money, premium and exclusive content.” This means that Kwesé TV will be looking to secure content which is not available to any other operator.
The Copa Del Rey, which is similar to the English FA Cup, features top teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid. Kwesé Sport has it on an exclusive basis, which means no one else in Africa can broadcast the games.
The company has also promised to continue to add similar quality content on its platforms.
