A fund raising charity dinner is set to raise the roof as well as funds for a Murehwa family.
The event at China Gardens Long on Saturday, February 13th will raise cash for a family of 7 in Murehwa. Speaking to Onward Christian Radio the founder of the Lend a Hand Save a Life Charity Thelma Chidavaenzi said: “The event is to fundraise to build a house for a certain family in Murehwa. The family consists of a father, mother, and 5 children.

Both the parents do not go to work, they do not have birth certificates and therefore the children do not have birth certificates as well. This has affected the children as they cannot go to school or undertake their public exams.

Two of the children are mentally disturbed. The whole family of 7 lives in one small hut. We discovered this family when we went to Murehwa to distribute groceries as most of the villagers pleaded with us to help them.”

Speaking of the Charity Dinner the young philanthropist urged Zimbabweans of all walks of life to come and help for this noble cause. “This is going to be a red carpet event, Prosper Ngomashi (The Comic Pastor), will be in attendance so will entertainers Sesfikile, and musicians Algred Nenguwo and Carlo. This will surely be a great event. They will be lots to eat and drink. The venue is Long Cheng Plaza China Gardens from 18:00-21:00, come and be part of this great and noble event.”
