A powerhouse of African artists to grace Big Brother Africa launch
On Sunday , the Big Brother launch show will come alive when multiple award winning musicians from Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa take centre stage. The big night will also see 28 new housemates being revealed to audiences in over 50 African countries for season 8 of Big Brother Africa, The Chase.
With the live show screening from 7pm CAT on AfricaMagic, AfricaMagic Entertainment, AfricaMagic World as well as on DStv channel 197 and 198. Audiences can look forward to sassy and upbeat tunes from Kenya’s very own award winner, STL. Boasting hit songs such as Take My Time , Hula Hoop, Bad as I Wanna Be, the singer, songwriter and rapper, also recipient of awards from the Kisima Awards, Clops Awards and Jeermaan Awards, promises to deliver an unforgettable and lasting performance with her distinct pop, soul and rap sound.
Hailing from Nigeria, musical heavy weights Don Jazzy, D’ Prince and Wande Coal are also set to grab audiences with their energetic and charming personas. Multi award-winning record producer, singer-songwriter and musician Don Jazzy, will join stars in their own right, D’ Prince and Wande Coal on stage for their collaborative performance. These chart topping hit makers from Mavin Records are also best known for songs such as I like What I See, Bumper 2 Bumper and Who Born the Maga. The continent can expect a sensational performance that will ignite the Big Brother live show stage.
Last but not least, one of South Africa’s leading Afro Pop music groups, Mafikizolo will also serenade audiences with their soulful and rhythmic tunes on the big launch night. With several albums and awards under their belt, the duo has brought fans far and wide, dance-floor filler hits such as Sibongile, Ndihamba Nawe, Nisixoshelani and most recently Khona. Their performance on the Big Brother stage is sure to evoke dance moves, reminding audiences why the chart topping group remains pioneers in their field with musical experience spanning over 15 years. The line-up will also include a slot for some comic relief from Kenyan stand-up comedian Daniel Ndambuki, popularly known as Churchill. The highly-talented entertainer has also become a household name with his TV show called “Churchill Live”.
