Arsene Wenger not in the mood to talk Arsenal’s title chances
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger refused to talk about his side’s Premier League title chances after another defeat, saying he’s “not in the mood”.
Arsenal lost 2-1 to Swansea on their home patch last night, and the manager refused to give his thoughts about a title challenge that seems to be slipping away.
“We will not talk about the title tonight. I am not in the mood to do that tonight,” he said.
The boos rang out around Emirates Stadium at the final whistle, with more and more supporters reaching their limit as the team continues to collapse after a promising start to the season.
Wenger felt his side was unlucky after hitting the woodwork three times and agreed they may be suffering from a lack of confidence.
“I think it is a very unlucky defeat because we created many chances, and we were unlucky in our finishing,” Wenger said.
“They had two shots on target and two goals. It’s a very disappointing game, and the players are very down. But we have to respond to that.”
Fortunately for the Gunners all of Spurs, Manchester City and Leicester City dropped points in midweek, but the loss to the Swans was another big chance missed to catch up with Leicester.
Arsenal are six points behind the Foxes and three behind Spurs, who they play this weekend at White Hart Lane. Kickoff.com
