Barcelona’s frontline of Messi,Suarez and Neymar becomes most prolific ever

Real-Vs-Barca-main

The expensively-assembled trident can now boast 120 goals between them over the campaign.

THE so-called ‘MSN’ has eclipsed Real Madrid’s ‘BBC’ in astonishing fashion this season, and broke the record for most goals scored
Barcelona’s ‘MSN’ front three is now officially the most potent front three of all time.

After a convincing Copa Del Rey win over Athletic Club on Saturday night, the expensively-assembled trident can now boast 120 goals between them over the campaign.

This mark betters the 2011/12 total achieved by Gonzalo Higuaín, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo under Jose Mourinho.

Lionel Messi, now indisputably back at the top of world football, has contributed 58 to the cause, while Luis Suarez’s first season in La Liga has seen him net 24 goals. Neymar has added 38 goals as he continues to amass incredible numbers for such a young player.

The Brazilian had already scored double the career goals of Cristiano Ronaldo he turned 23 earlier this season, and is on course to be one of modern football’s greatest-ever goalscorers.
Neymar shares a birthday with Ronaldo, and there seems little doubt now that when the Real Madrid star and Messi end their Ballon d’Oropoly that the Brazilian is destined to be the world’s best player.

Looking over his stats on his 23rd birthday, a striking statistic appears.
In his time at Santos and Barcelona, Neymar racked racked up 219 senior goals – an incredible tally. But what puts this into perspective is Cristiano Ronaldo’s record at the same age.

The Portuguese star had notched up only 107 by his 23rd birthday, fewer than half that of his clasíco rival.

Neymar had played more games, granted, but his goals per game ratio was still vastly superior to the former Man United man.

No doubt some will complain that Neymar’s goals at the top level in South America should count for less, but the 23-year-old has scored them across the board. His international record again is far superior to a 23-year-old Ronaldo’s.. and even the Portugal man’s career goals per games ratio.
International goals by 23 year Neymar has 42 while Ronaldo had 20.
Forget individuals though. Football is about team achievements, right?

Well Neymar – predictably – has the edge here too, with his trophy cabinet already overflowing.
