Bieber Settles ‘Kicked Paparazzo’ Lawsuit

The incident was one in a series of legal run-ins for the pop star

Justin Bieber has settled a lawsuit by a photographer who accused the singer of kicking and punching him in 2012.

An attorney for photographer Jose Duran said on Wednesday the case had been resolved.

Details of the settlement have not been released, and Bieber’s attorney declined to comment.

Mr Duran sued Bieber in 2013, claiming the singer “physically battered” him outside a Southern California shopping centre.

He said Bieber ran at him and delivered a flying kick to his gut before punching him in the face.

Bieber and then-girlfriend singer Selena Gomez left the shopping centre in Calabasas, near Hollywood, before police arrived, Mr Duran claimed.

A trial had been scheduled to start on Wednesday.
