BigBusiness Africa summit to foster cross-border collaborations
AS the continent grapples with challenges including mass urbanisation, energy security, and digital infrastructure, BigBusiness Africa is convening a continental ideas conference to spark cross-border collaborations and economic growth.
The Africa Business Conference, scheduled for October 16–17, 2024, in Johannesburg, South Africa, will bring together up to 1 000 business leaders, industry experts, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, investors, and media representatives from Africa and the diaspora.
“The ability to move from idea generation to strategy formulation, and follow it up with crystal clear execution is a recipe for local, regional and global business success,” Big Business Africa’s chief executive, Stephene Chikozho said.
The conference aims to define the new era of doing business in Africa, with discussions on topics like affordable housing, education, healthcare, and job creation.
With a line-up of dynamic industry leaders, the conference promises to be an exhilarating and thought-provoking experience.
“We see ourselves as agents of change that are focused on building a thriving ecosystem for businesses on the African continent,” Board President of BigBusiness Africa Pandora Mabai said.
Among the guests are top regional businesspeople and academics including fellow countryman Zimbabwean businessman Tinashe Manzungu, property tycoon Ken Sharpe, South Africans Mathew Phosa, Kgathane Paulina Mamogobo, Mamokgheti Phakheti and Asanda Luwaca.
Cumbi Junior from Angola and Salimo Abdula from Mozambique complete the lineup for speakers at the conference.
