Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend ‘tried to save her’

Nick’s Gordon’s lawyers say prosecutors are trying to make him a murderer, adding that “no one loved Bobbi Kristina more”.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s former boyfriend Nick Gordon tried to save her life after finding her unresponsive in a bathtub, his lawyers have said.

The lawyers have called on prosecutors to end speculation that the death of late pop singer Whitney Houston’s daughter resulted in any wrongdoing on Gordon’s part.

They said he is being wrongly-targeted in the criminal investigation into her 2015 death.

Lawyers Joe Habachy and Jose Baez said: “The truth is that Nick tried to save Bobbi Kristina’s life.

“The truth is that Nick cooperated with law enforcement since day one.
“The Fulton County District Attorney’s office has tried to make Nick a murderer despite having clear and convincing evidence that Bobbi Kristina’s death was nothing more than a tragic accident,” they added in a joint statement.

“The truth is that no one loved Bobbi Kristina more than Nick and no one has suffered more as a result of her death than Nick.”

Gordon and Bobbi Kristina referred to each other as husband and wife but her father Bobby Brown said they were never legally married.

The conservator of Bobbi Kristina’s estate has filed a lawsuit accusing Gordon of causing her death and stealing from her bank account while she was in a coma before her death last July.

Gordon says he was prevented from visiting her during this six-month period.

Prosecutors have said the investigation into the death of Bobbi Kristina is ongoing but they have not revealed the names of who they might be investigating.

Bobbi Kristina was 22 when she drowned in the bathtub in her home in Atlanta, Georgia, last year.

Autopsy results released last week did not say whether her death was due to an accident or an intentional act such as suicide or homicide. The medical examiner recorded the cause of her death as undetermined.
