CBZ GCEO resigns due to poor health
CBZ Holdings Limited chairman Luxon Zembe has said the financial institution’s group chief executive officer, Nyasha Makuvise had resigned due to poor health.
Speaking at CBZ’s financial results presentation, Zembe said Makuvise who had been at the helm of the bank since Gideon Gono was appointed the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor was stepping down.
“We are very grateful to Mr Makuvise for all he did to ensure the bank was always on sound financial footing. His last working day will be March 31, 2022. His resignation is a result of health challenges,” he said.
“CBZ board had accepted the resignation, but we were not happy with the decision as he was a vital asset to the group, but gradually we accepted. He has left a good successor, after serving the company for 16 years.”
Makuvise has been with CBZ for the past 16 years. He will be replaced by CBZ Bank chief executive officer John Mangudya from April 1.
