Chiyangwa lands top CAF post
AFTER successfully campaigning for Ahmad Ahmad to assume the CAF presidency, ZIFA and COSAFA President Dr Philip Chiyangwa has been appointed to an influential position within the Confederation of African Football ranks.
The Flamboyant businessman who assumed the ZIFA presidency on December 5 2015 before taking over the reigns at Council of Southern Africa Football Associations a year later, has been appointed the CAF Deputy President responsible for AFCON games.
He will take charge of the CAF competitions which include decisions on which nations to host AFCON games.
Will Zimbabwe host it this time? We wait and see…
