CR7 breaks historic UCL records

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo broke multiple UEFA Champions League records after scoring in their 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen.

Cristiano Ronaldo won the Ballon d’Or in 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner added the third goal on the evening after Gonzalo Higuain and Federico Bernardeschi netted against the Bundesliga side at the Allianz Stadium.

And with that strike, the legendary forward moved 16 goals ahead of Lionel Messi at the summit of the the all-time European goalscorers chart with 128 goals.

In addition, no player has more goals against clubs from a specific country in Europe’s elite club competition than Ronaldo.
The former Manchester United star has scored 27 in 25 appearances against German opposition.
And if that wasn’t enough, Ronaldo has now scored in 14 consecutive Champions League seasons; equalling a record previously held by Raul and Messi.
Furthermore, Ronaldo has now broken former Real Madrid team-mate Iker Casillas’ record for most Champions League wins of all time.
The victory on Tuesday was his 102nd in European competition and by netting against Leverkusen, he also equalled Raul’s record of scoring against 33 different Champions League opponents. – kickoff.com
