Speaking prior to the concert, the Elshaddai founder Apostle Patience Hove described the silver jubilee celebrations as proof of God’s presence in the 25-year old church.

“We are here today because of his grace. The journey since 1994 wasn’t easy but l remained focused and the counsel l received from Amai Wutaunashe was very helpful and insightful,” she said.

Apostle Hove, the bishop of the ministry narrated how Elshaddai Ministries International, a ministry  that has positively impacted on and transformed the lives of women and men across denominations over the last quarter of a century.

Elshaddai Ministries International, thanks to Apostle Hove’s inspirational leadership, guidance and vision, has become the ministry of choice.

Apostle Hove, a holder of transformational honorary doctorate and the first woman to sit on the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe board, formed Elshaddai Ministries International after God spoke to her at a tender age of nine. Together with other like-minded women, Apostle Hove formed Elshaddai Ministries International driven by the desire to, among other things, empower women.

The ministry, which has grown in leaps and bounds worldwide, has become home to the abused and marginalised women in society. Elshaddai Ministries International has over the last half century evolved to become one of the leading places of worship in Zimbabwe.

As a renowned author, Apostle Hove has captured her teachings in over 30 books, focusing primarily on the woman’s role in the church, family and the kingdom of God. She is now widely regarded as one of the leading transformational leaders in the country.
