Ethiopian Airlines has been working over the months with Flocash to leverage widely adopted mobile payment solutions across many countries to bring convenience to local customers

FLOCASH a leading Pan African provider of electronic payment services, has enabled mobile payments for telecash accounts users for Ethiopian Airlines, a leading pan-African airline.

Following technical integration using the Flocash payment gateway, telecash clients can now pay for tickets on Ethiopian Airlines using telecash. They can do this by booking a ticket on the airline’s website. The online reservation process will get them to a point where they will be requested to pay.

Prospective passengers must choose the mobile payment option to be able to pay from their telecash wallet. This means that a traveller can make a reservation online and pay for the ticket without visiting the Ethiopian Airlines office, thus bringing convenience to the traveller.

“Ethiopian Airlines has been working over the months with Flocash to leverage widely adopted mobile payment solutions across many countries to bring convenience to local customers”.

Now, we are taking it a step further by availing the mobile payment option for buying tickets online in Zimbabwe using telecash. As a customer service organisation, we will continuously work hard to avail to our customers the best possible travel experience both on the ground and on board”, said Almaz Yigzaw, Ethiopian Airways country manager for Zimbabwe.

With Africa’s economy beginning to thrive and catch-up with the rest of the world in terms of innovation, connectivity and technology, airline travel has increased integration across the continent. Ethiopian Airlines, one of the largest airlines on the continent plays a big role in providing air travel across many countries on the continent and to leading destinations across the world.
