Gary Lineker presents ‘match of the day’ in his underpants
GARY Lineker has appeared on the BBC’s Saturday night football show Match Of The Day in just his underpants.
The former Tottenham and England striker promised to strip off if his boyhood club Leicester won the Premier League last season.
Lineker wore white and blue Leicester shorts for the first 30 minutes of the highlights show, then appeared back on screen fully dressed.
He said: “It is a one-off and a sporting miracle that has landed me in my underwear.”
At the start of the 2015/16 season Leicester were 5,000-1 outsiders to be crowned champions.
But they performed much better than expected and became shock title challengers.

Lineker tweeted last December he would “do the first MOTD of next season in just my undies” if the Foxes saw the job through.
To the delight of their supporters and neutrals they did – and pressure grew on him to keep his word.
Fifteen minutes before the show started on BBC One, Lineker tweeted “this is strangely terrifying”.
There was huge social media interest in what he was wearing and generally the reaction was positive.
Fellow Match of the Day presenter Dan Walker joked: “4,000 sit ups a day for 20 seconds on telly. Well played Gary Lineker. Were they pants or shorts though?”
One of the fixtures Lineker introduced was Leicester’s away game at newly-promoted Hull, which the champions lost 2-1. news.sky.com
