God of impossibilities

If nothing is impossible with God then why is your own particular situation remaining unchanged? To answer this question there are many things to consider.
Firstly, when the scriptures say all things are possible to God they mean all things that He wills to do, not what human beings want. Ephesians 1:11 reveals that God works all things after the counsel of His own will. In other words, God has a plan and a purpose for everything He does and for everyone He has created. He accomplishes great things for His pleasure and fulfilment of His purposes and not for our pleasure and glory.
You say you cannot find a life partner but has God shown you that He wills for you to marry. Perhaps He wants to use your celibacy in a special way to accomplish His greater purposes. You complain of barrenness but have you sought God on the issue and found out what His will for you is.
The problem is that we compare ourselves unfairly with others. Just because everyone is doing it does not mean you must do it as well. God has created you unique to serve a unique purpose. You might argue, “But the Bible shows that it is God’s will for me to marry, to bear children, to be rich, to bless the work of my hands, etc.” Well, but have you, like King David, entered into the sanctuary and inquired from God why things are the way they are in your life? We are to seek God in prayer, studying and meditating the scriptures and fasting until He reveals deep and secret things concerning our particular situations. Our problem is that we are not willing to pay the price for the impossible to happen.  Impossible situations demand more than logos, the written word, you need a rhema word, a specific revelation for your specific situation. If the impossible you want God to do for you is not a specific divine promise in the Bible then you have no basis to expect God to do it. You are free to ask, but God is not bound to honour it. Since it is outside the provisions of the Bible or His covenant He has a choice either to grant it or not. If He does not grant it His integrity will still be intact because He has not promised it in the first place.
Moreover, you who want the impossible, do you meet His conditions? The impossible things demand a lot from us. Are you God’s child? Some things of God belong only to His children. If you are God’s child, are you living according to God’s word? Is seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness your priority? Or you just want gifts, not the giver. God demands that we have faith in Him for the impossible to happen. We want God’s power to work out the impossible for us but God wants us to have faith in Him.
In Matthew nine two blind men cried to Jesus for mercy. Instead of just healing their blindness with His power, he asked them a revealing question, “Do you believe I am able to do this?” In other words, the impossible you want done can be done for you but on condition that you believe in God’s ability to do it. If you believe in God’s ability you will remain steadfast no matter how long it takes. You will not consult witchdoctors and false prophets.
Can you patiently wait for God’s promises to come to pass without trying to use your own means? Some people say they are waiting for God while they are busy doing all sorts of things that run contrary to the will and ways of God. For instance, there are sisters believing God for marriage partners but meanwhile they are sleeping around with some men. There are men who believe God for healing from a terminal illness or sexually transmitted disease but their behaviour remains unchanged. God cannot be mocked, we reap what we sow. You just have to be faithful to God for Him to do an impossible thing for you.
God requires us to be obedient to His directions and instructions. The widow in second Kings chapter four received a miraculous supply of oil because she unquestioningly followed Elisha’s instructions.   If God instructs you to pray and fast consecutively for forty days for your breakthrough, will you do it? If God instructs you to give away that thing you treasure will you obey? There is the catch; we do not want to obey.
It is clearly shown in the Bible that God can do the impossible but do you believe He is able to it for you?
