The hip hop group has not performed together since 1991 but could now be following Guns ‘N’ Roses’ lead.

RAPPER and actor Ice Cube has hinted that NWA could reunite for this year’s Coachella festival.

The hip hop group split in 1991 and there were well publicised disagreements between Ice Cube and Dr Dre.

However, after the making and release of the biopic Straight Outta Compton last year, the situation has improved.

Speaking of his forthcoming Coachella appearance, Ice Cube told US chat show The Talk: “I’ve got some tricks up my sleeves… I’m gonna try to bring the members of NWA together.

“Give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and NWA, West Side Connection, everything I’ve been doing over the years.”
It is over 25 years since the group last performed together but Ice Cube was joined by DJ Yella and MC Ren at an event before the film’s release last year.

NWA’s Eazy-E died from complications from AIDS in 1995.

Another high profile reunion is set to take place at Coachella in April when the original Guns ‘N’ Roses trio perform together for the first time since 1993.

Coachella takes place in Indio, California over two weekends between 15 and 24 April.

LCD Soundsystem and Calvin Harris are headlining two nights of the festival.

Other artists lined up to perform include Ellie Goulding, Sufjan Stevens, Foals, Disclosure, Chvrches, James Bay and Sia. skynews.com
