Jaden Smith just pulled the craziest trick on dad Will Smith
WILL Smith was well and truly played by his son Jaden recently in an extravagant prank.
The Suicide Squad actor says his son and After Earth co-star managed to pull the wool over his eyes with his recent 18th birthday celebrations.
Gullible Will, 47, recalled the funny, but not entirely relatable, story while chatting to Jimmy Fallon.
The Men In Black star explained that he and the rest of the Smiths flew all the way out to London to be with Jaden for his birthday on July 8 – at his request.
They all spent quality time together and even went to see Calvin Harris, but things took a weird turn after that.
Will explained: ‘Then we go to a restaurant and Jaden was particularly excited. He looked at the waiter and he says: “I’ll have a tequila!”
‘I said “Whoa, whoa, man, hold up. What you doin’?”. And he says “The drinking age is 18 in England, dad”! I was like, “You joker!”‘
Unwilling to take this manipulation lying down, Will then told Jaden: ‘It’s only noon in LA and you weren’t born till 4.’
Nice try, kiddo! We hope he footed the bill for his family’s travel expenses.
Maybe Will was worried what would happen to Jaden’s Twitter if he got a bit krunk.
Let’s just hope Willow Smith, 15, wasn’t downing shots too.
Despite still being nothing more than fashionable teenagers, Jaden and Willow have been making efforts to further their respective acting and pop careers of late.
Willow released her first album Ardipithecus last December and Jaden is moving up from starring in father/son dud After Earth to taking a role in Baz Luhrmann’s new Glee-style TV show The Get Down.
Dread-locked Jaden plays a ‘psychedelically talented and enigmatic graffiti writer raised in the South Bronx’ in the Netflix series. Sounds like the part was written for him. – metro.co.uk
