MODELLING guru Kiki Divaris, 90, has died.

She passed Saturday morning at private hospital Borrowdale Clinic Trauma Centre where she was admitted few days ago for pneumonia.

Her son Dimitris confirmed her passing.

A charity worker, philanthropist and a fashion designer, Vassiliki Babaletakis Divaris, was well known for supporting the Miss Zimbabwe Pageant since its inception and she was also the patron.

Kiki was once the president of Greek Hellenics Ladies Association and chairperson of the Child Survival and Development Foundation, a brainchild of the late First Lady Sally Mugabe.

She is survived by two children- Sotirios and Dimitris – two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Current Miss World Zimbabwe Trust chairperson Mary Chiwenga said Kiki’s death changes the dynamics of Miss World Zimbabwe and Miss Zimbabwe Trust as they have lost “a queen maker, a vibrant and vivacious woman”.

“She was a great mentor, Kiki did not have a bone in her body that had jealous,” she said to NewZimbabwe.com.

“She reminded me of the epitome that was Princess Diana and the greatness to give love to make Zimbabwe a better place to live in.

“The thought of losing her as a grandmother, a mother, mentor and above all conqueror makes my heart ache.

“Miss World Zimbabwe 2016 will be all about her, under the stars in memory of you.”

Mourners are gathered at number 68 Churchill Avenue Alexandra Park in Harare with burial arrangements to be announced in due course. Newzimbabwe.com
