New fiction spotlights poaching
A ZIMBABWEAN author, Maxwell Burnham, has published a new book, Super White in the United States. Known by his pen name, the author grew up in Chegutu but now lives in Harare. The book is a fictional account set in the Zambezi Valley and focuses on the the life of the main character Charles Mills who is trapped between two worlds as his career has been put on the wire and his marriage is about to crumble.
The main narrative thread puts a spotlight on the super dangerous issue of poaching. When Charles Mill accidentally discovered a ruthless underground organisation dealing in ivory trade and elephant skin. The poachers kidnap his wife but Mills has to choose whether to save his woman or follow his conscience?
