New ‘Quest’ for easy medical aid access
QUEST Financial Services (Quest) has launched an innovative healthcare payments-system token to improve Zimbabweans’ better access to medical insurance, related services and boost the country’s financial inclusion programmes.
The company, which is also into micro-lending and global remittances, has unveiled its fintech ‘vitality on-the-go’ product under the group’s medical aid scheme.
“Through Quest Vitality Medical Scheme (QVMS), our vision is to improve the lives of the Zimbabwean populace via cutting-edge, affordable and accessible medical aid solutions,” general manager Godfrey Mushonga told The Financial Gazette yesterday, adding “their mission was to provide reliable, and patient-centred healthcare-access solutions to both the local, and diaspora markets”.
“This virtual and user-friendly product was created with a view of providing access to funders, medical facilities, and practitioners themselves as well as ancillary services at a faster turnaround time and offer flexible payment terms for those seeking greater control of their finances,” he said, adding “clients can constantly review their QVMS accounts, top-up and redeem tokens, with a view of making quicker and appropriate decisions on this key social service, and family health care cover”.
With this launch, Quest is not only inching closer to group founder James Msipa’s vision for a “one-stop financial services entity to help the masses through relevant and disruptive products’”, but has also stressed that the system comes with a support programme.
As such, analysts also say the company’s expansion into the healthcare sector perfectly dovetails with the Zimbabwean government and United Nation’s universal access to primary healthcare under its sustainable development goals.
