Politicians fleecing government
EDITOR — Former Pakistani president, Asif Ali Zardari, was dubbed Mr 10 percent for fraudulently retaining percentages on government loans from contracts awarded when his late wife, Benazir Bhutto, was in power. In Zimbabwe, whatever deals are made or minerals mined the State gets almost nothing just but a token percentage. The bulk of whatever wealth or money that is earned goes into the pockets or bank accounts of the thieves in ZANU-PF. We should not be surprised when the tax authorities cry of declining tax revenue, they know where it’s going to but are powerless to act.
