R KELLY  is longing for love! The rapper may be dating a 19-year-old gal named Halle Calhoun, but apparently things aren’t too serious yet — because the rapper is still hoping to find that special someone before his 50th birthday next January.
“Kels is trying to find true love before he’s 50. All he does is make music and tour and when it’s all done he goes home by himself,” a source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “It’s been a long time since he’s been with a good woman and he’s looking to settle down and begin making memories again before the big 5-0. He’s dating and yes, the brother has love for beautiful women between the ages of 18-29. That’s just his preference.”
R. Kelly‘s fling with Halle appears to still be in the early stages, so they like aren’t quite in the “true love” phase yet. And even though we don’t know if Halle is ready to settle down yet herself (she is still a teenager, after all), she certainly fits the mold of beautiful women from 18 to 29. At least R. Kelly is halfway there with his new girlfriend, huh?.

No matter how happy he may be with Halle, though, R. Kelly is seemingly feeling like he’s running out of time. He turns 50 on January 8, which is only five months away, so he’s probably feeling the pressure to make things work with Halle! But our source said that the singer is trying to “keep his personal life on the DL for now” — so even if he does find “true love” with Halle, we may not know that until his 50th birthday anyway!
If R. Kelly does fall in love with Halle (despite their nearly 40-year age difference), it wouldn’t be the first time he found love with a much younger girl.

He had a controversial relationship with the late singer Aaliyah back in the ’90s, secretly — but illegally — marrying her when she was just 15 years old and he was 27. Fortunately for R. Kelly, Halle is of legal marrying age. While we may be a bit weirded out if R. Kelly were to marry Halle down the line, hey, at least he’d have his “true love” wish granted. hollywoodlife.com
