Roki, Maneta: No love lost

When the dust had settled, Mampi, DKB and former Downville housemate Maneta found themselves up for eviction this week – but DKB used his power as Head of House to save himself and put Lady May up for eviction in his place. That means that viewers must vote to keep one of Mampi (Zambia), Maneta (Zimba-bwe) and Lady May (Namibia) in the house this week.
When Big Brother revealed the results of the nomination process on Monday, the housemates sat in stunned silence for a moment as reality set in. Big Brother had to call DKB to the Diary Room a number of times to make his ‘Save and Replace’ decision. After pondering his choice, DKB revealed that he would be saving himself and putting Lady May up for eviction in his place.
Earlier in the day, Mampi had received the most nominations from her Upville housemates, picking up six – everyone else except Maneta, nominated her. Maneta and DKB picked up three nominations each, putting them in the eviction firing line.
Mampi nominated Goldie and DKB – the former because “I believe she’s too plastic, she’s a pretender. She doesn’t like me anyway” and DKB because “he’s been stepping on my toes over and over again and he doesn’t look like he wants to stop anytime soon. And now that he’s Head of House it feels like he has an even bigger head – he thinks he can do whatever he wants”.
Goldie’s nominations went to Maneta and Mampi, because of the Zambian’s “side tal-ks”. Maneta nominated DKB and Goldie, while DKB nominated Lady May and Mam-pi. He said that Lady May had been taking things too personally, while Mampi had been “breeding mistrust” among the men in the house. Lady May nominated Maneta and M-ampi, while Barbz chose Prezzo and Mampi.
Prezzo nominated DKB because “he’s not real with himself, on the other hand he tries too hard to fit in” and Mampi, saying “some people speak because they have something to say and other people speak because they just feel like talking. She’s been trying to open a can of worms that passed during our first week in the house”.
Roki nominated Mampi and Maneta – the former because he wanted to protect her “because things are gonna get crazy in here” and the latter because “she came here in combination with her sister and now that she’s here, she’s joined another combination with Mampi.” “She’s fading slowly into Mampi”, he told Big Brother.
This has escalated the tension between the duo with Maneta telling her fellow gossip girl that Roki is “a boy hiding in a man’s body”! Roki went ahead and pinned Maneta of not saying good things about Zimbabweans.
The nominations were as follows: Mampi (6); DKB (3); Maneta (3); Goldie (2); Lady May (1); Prezzo (1) while Barbz and Roki didn’t pick up any nominations.
