Ronnie Wood, who already has four children, is expecting twins with his 37-year-old wife Sally, who he married in 2012.

ROLLING Stones star Ronnie Wood is said to be “thrilled” as he is set to become a father again at the age of 68.

The guitarist, who already has four children, is expecting twins with his 37-year-old wife Sally, who he married in December 2012.

The twins, who are due to be born next June, will be the couple’s first offspring.

The rock star and Sally, who owns a theatre production company, dated for six months before tying the knot at the Dorchester Hotel, where Rod Stewart was Wood’s best man.

They first met nearly a decade earlier at the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane, where Humphries was working and Wood was displaying his artwork.

A spokesperson for the band said: “Sally and Ronnie Wood are delighted to announce that they are expecting twins in June 2016.

“Needless to say, they are thrilled and overjoyed with the wonderful news.”

Sally, who has never taken drugs and barely drinks, has been credited as being a sobering influence on Wood, who has reportedly been sober since his eighth stint in rehab in 2010.

She told Hello! magazine the couple do not notice their 31 year age gap – although Wood admitted his wife sometimes gets mistaken as his daughter.

She added: “Maybe it’s the old-souls-young-soul thing, but we don’t notice.”

Wood’s four children are Jesse from his first marriage to former model Krissy Wood; daughter Leah and son Tyrone from his second marriage with Jo; and Jamie, Jo’s son from a previous marriage who Wood adopted.  news.sky.com
