Sir Mick Jagger expecting eighth child at 72

The Rolling Stone is expecting his eighth child – his first with 29-year-old girlfriend Melanie Hamrick.

The date of when the baby is due has not yet been revealed.

Sir Mick’s other children are Karis, Jade, Elizabeth, James, Georgia, Gabriel and Lucas – their ages range from 45 to 17.

He is also a grandfather of two, and great-grandfather to a two-year-old girl.

The rock star’s girlfriend is a ballerina who has performed with the American Ballet Theatre in New York.

Sir Mick met her around the time of the death of his long-term partner L’Wren Scott in 2014.

The news means fellow rocker Ronnie Wood will no longer be the band’s oldest dad. – news.sky.com

The 68-year-old’s wife Sally gave birth to twin girls in May.
