The event will be held on January 11 in Harare at Honda building and it is expected to bring children from around the city, both boys and girls to educate them on as well as advocating abstinence  from drugs, crime, early sex and indiscipline in schools.

In an interview with this publication, TRM founder Founder Abraham Matuka said the event will give children opportunity to express themselves.

TRM has identified orphans, and teens who are  staying with grand parents who can’t make it to pay fees and we have stepped in to assist as we believe in every young generation getting access to education.

“The event is going to see teenagers  engaging into activities like music, dance showcasing their talents and they are going to hear knowledge and wisdom from professional speakers speaking on  issues that affect the young generation of today.

On the day we will have the  young generation asking questions which affecting them and the event will be so open and with well trained speakers, making sure it transforms the young people.

“The platform will be targeting to prepare young generation to remain focus and pursue their studies. On the day we have identified orphans, and teens who are  staying with their grand parents who can’t make it to pay fees and we have stepped in to assist as we believe in every young generation getting access to education,” Matuka added.

Matuka urged well wishers to join in solidarity with TRM in uplifting the lives of teenagers in Zimbabwe.

“It’s our call well wishers, to give a hand  so that we help in moulding the young generation. We believe that if these teens and youths do not have access to education they end up in drugs, crime and early prostitution. As Teen Rescue Mission it’s our appeal to well wishers to assist so as to make sure that the day will transform children’s lives,” Matoka said.
